Cyprus Fall 2024

Redeemer is taking a team to Girne, Cyprus November 1-10, 2024 where Jonathan and Katie Doub have served for almost 10 years. They have been partners with our church since Redeemer began, and have spent substantial time serving in Kyrgyzstan, England, and Cyprus. They are currently involved in the pioneering work of growing a local church body, while also engaging in missionary care for workers in this region of the world.

We are so excited about what the Lord has in store for this trip and team and would love to talk with you if you are interested! Here are a few details for you to look over and talk with the Lord about.

In November, Redeemer will be sending a short-term team to assist the Doubs in their efforts. We will spend time renovating their newly purchased church building, which is in need of substantial work and will continue to be a primary ongoing project over trips for the next several years. Construction experience and handyman skills are a great addition, but not required. We will also spend time encouraging the Doubs and other church members, as well as teaching English classes in the community as a strategic means to build relationships with local nonbelievers.

We estimate that the total trip will cost approximately $2400-3000 per person. However, since Redeemer wants to support members going on our short term trips, we will be contributing substantially per person towards this trip, which will bring the actual cost to $1800-2200 per person. If you feel that the Lord is leading you to participate in this trip, but are concerned about finances, please reach out to the missions staff. We do not ever want finances to be an obstacle that keeps you from obediently stepping forward in faith and would love to discuss different options.

The trip cost includes all expenses except any medical expenses (malaria medicine, immunizations, etc), which you will need to discuss with your own doctor and/or a travel clinic doctor. You need to have a current passport or apply for one immediately (the trip dates must not be within 6 months of the expiration date). We provide 3 mandatory pre-trip training meetings, as well as 1 post-trip meeting/debrief. The dates for these are:

Sept 8  team meeting 12:30-2:30

Sept 29 team meeting 12:30-2:30

Oct 13  team meeting 12:30-2:30

Nov 17  debrief meeting
